Within the interpretive profession are individuals of exceptional commitment. They have dedicated themselves to more than a career; they have committed themselves to a way of life and to socially important causes. Many share their own time and personal resources or have overcome significant obstacles to ensure that important objectives are accomplished. Others have significantly inspired and influenced the profession through training and leadership they have provided. The Rocky Mt. Region awards program provides a means of recognizing these individuals or organizations for their contributions and achievements. The Rocky Mt. Region awards include the "Meritorious Service Award," the "Distinguished Professional Interpreter Award," the "Outstanding Interpretive Program Award." Nominations may be made by any member to the Rocky Mt. Region Recognition Team Leader. The awards are generally presented during a regional workshop.
